Enchantment Lakes Tidelands
This small harbor and beach along the shore of the Enchantments Leprechaun Lake caught my immediate attention. Although this is just a small alpine mountain lake, the shoreline resembled areas I am familiar with along the Washington Pacific Coast. The wave action has more to do with wind and inclement weather that makes its way through the Enchantments frequently, filling up the lake with sudden surges of water. This beach also provided an excellent vantage point for the tallest peak in the Enchantments, McClellan Peak. The clouds, fog and mist added to the drama of this early morning scene.
