Carpet of Penstemon and Paintbrush

As June turns to July, a beautiful carpet of Penstemon and Paintbrush covers this meadow underneath Mt. St. Helens settling into the evening light. A week ago, only a few flowers were here, but with a few hot days the landscape went into its summer transformation!
