Serenity at Pratt Lake
I was hesitant to take this image of Pratt Lake about 30 minutes after sunrise. Late at night a couple had wandered into Pratt Lake apparently using headlamp only to find all campsites were filled. This place was as CROWDED as I have ever seen, with perhaps 30 separate camping parties. This couple plopped their tent almost right on the lake shore with the tent also taking up a portion of the trail to the lake. Needless to say these rocks I wanted to include in my composition were accessible only a few feet from their tent. I thought to myself, camping next to any lake shore in the wilderness area is not exactly legal, but likely not enforced. I tread lightly across the rocks and went ahead and took my pictures, the silence punctuated by the now constant whispering and turning inside the tent! Sorry people who were inside of this tent!
