Dreams of an Oak Tree on a Hill

Walking through the hills around the Columbia Gorge this past week, I thought I may have woken up in the Land of Oz! The Balsam Root under this Oak Tree as the sun dipped below the crest of the hill seemed to me so much like a beautiful dream that I would like to hold onto forever--even as I knew this is something that one can never hold onto, but only enjoy in the present moment.
