Zigzags

In early September I returned from spending three days backpacking in the Mt. Baker area and was surprised to see autumn already in motion even as in other areas the flowers were still blooming. Luckily the heavy rains on the first day washed all the smoke away bringing fresh cool crisp autumn air.
