Although I am attracted to iconic images of America's best known landscapes, I firmly believe that there is equal beauty waiting to be discovered in lesser known landscapes. I have challenged myself to capture some of this hidden/overlooked beauty in this portfolio. Most off these locations are within a 30 to 45 minute drive from my home in Fairwood, a suburb of Seattle. This is about the same amount of time that it takes me to drive to down town Seattle. A few of the locations are literally right out my front door. These destinations include the Issaquah Alps: Cougar, Skuak, Tiger, Echo, and Taylor Mountains. Also included in this Portfolio are the frontline peaks just beyond the foothills: Mt. Si, Mt. Washington, and Mailbox Peak.
