Several women I know love to have their pictures taken while in the presence of nature's beauty, often while wearing a flowing dress or a sari, but also dressed more casually. I talked to them about this and found out that this is one of the ways they honor nature. In other words, they are honoring Mother Nature who also lives in them. This kind of photography goes beyond the selfie, and is not done for social media popularity. It is more like a ritual that gives form to the connection one feels with nature. It is this connection with nature that is featured in this portfolio of women in the landscape: honoring nature.
